About me

I’m Vanda, a Clinical Psychologist and a full member of the Portuguese Psychologists’ Association (OPP).
Since an early age, I have been fascinated by the complexity of the human mind and motivated to understand how our experiences shape who we are.

Psychotherapy offers a profound understanding of the behaviors, emotions, and thoughts that guide us, often unconsciously. I believe in the power of self-awareness and in the importance of creating a safe space where people can explore their vulnerabilities.
My approach is centered on each individual, respecting their uniqueness. My goal is to support those who wish to better understand themselves, overcome emotional challenges, and achieve greater well-being.
As Freud once said, “Healing does not come from forgetting, but from remembering without pain. It is a process.”
Helping my patients find answers and develop new ways of facing life’s challenges is one of my greatest passions.

Partnerships

At this clinic specialized in the diagnosis and treatment of fertility problems, I work as a psychologist,  supporting people who are preparing for in vitro fertilization (IVF). I believe emotional preparation is essential for IVF, and my aim is to guide individuals and couples through this journey by providing a safe space to explore emotions and manage the anxiety and psychological strain often associated with the process.
I have the privilege of collaborating with this recently founded NGO, which promotes women’s personal development through empowerment and the acquisition of emotional and professional autonomy. As part of this work, I provide psychological support and training to women who are victims of domestic violence, as well as to immigrants and inmates referred by partner institutions.
